The Company

Direct from France, Bionée’s Organic Certified Maternity Skin Care is a skin care product line that speaks to the needs of both a new mother and her baby. The company’s core values are quality, safety and pleasure and they are instilled in every product for new moms such as Bionée’s “Nipple Remedy, No Rinse,” “Body Caress for Baby” and “Stretch Mark Lotion” for combating stretch marks.  

Developed with patented ingredients, Bionée’s products come free of harmful chemicals and are organic certified by internationally recognized ECOCERT. Each ingredient has earned a safety statement for pregnancy and baby and contains Fair Trade organic honey.

Company founder Eva Asmar, was born in Poland, grew up as a German citizen and graduated from the Sorbonne and the prestigious ESSEC Business School in Paris. Inspired by the French beauty industry, she quickly established herself as a cosmetics industry leader with posts at Yves Rocher, L’Oreal US and most recently as Global Product Manager at The Body Shop in the UK.  At The Body Shop, Eva was responsible for over 150 products sold worldwide. Fluent in four languages and a new mother herself, Eva’s focus on organic ingredients and rigorous manufacturing processes makes the name Bionée (“Naturally born”) one poised to shake up the maternal skin care market.

From the Founder

My pregnancy was for me a time full of passion and dedication to my new venture: Bionée Organic Certified Skin Care. This new direction in my life has its roots in my strong experience in product development for international cosmetics companies. Over the years I was managing international and leading natural beauty brands in France, UK and the US. My creativity and sense for beauty care are reflected in the various well-known cosmetics creations on the global market. Being a true citizen of the world I cherished the cultural exchanges and observations of women and their beauty habits all over the world. I wanted to combine the best of each culture and develop products that speak to the needs of women as myself. During my pregnancy living and breathing beauty care, I trusted my idealistic convictions and created Bionée, a brand that incorporates “wonder ingredients” from all over the world fused with certified organic and natural modern science.

By women for women 

It took the magic nine months to develop eight natural products and all this being pregnant myself. Today, the skin care products are all I could wish for my baby and myself: safe, efficient and indulgent, supporting fair trade and the environment.

Bionée’s organic certified skin care line for pregnancy and baby is a fruit of a strong collaboration between pregnant women, moms, women scientists and doctors. Driven by the objective to develop a unique skincare line combining ingredients from around the world, we researched traditional remedies praised by women during the pregnancy and beyond. You can listen to the beautiful ingredients stories from the women I met on our website and try them out in our products.                                                                                                                                                                    

Then, in collaboration with my female scientists and doctors in the South of France at the renowned laboratory for natural skincare, we came up with the most advanced remedies modern science offers. Passionate about organic products, we imagined the safest but also most efficient and pleasing formulations that women need during this precious time of pregnancy and motherhood and finally for their babies.                                 

Finally, we combined the two worlds and created Bionée. 

The Lotus Flower

We have chosen the Lotus flower as the symbol of our brand as having a baby is like the blossoming of a lotus flower, a symbol of purity, fertility and creation in many cultures all over the world. Its modest beginnings as a delicate blushing bud unveil the essence of conception, a sign of innocence and promise. As the lotus continues to grow, the beauty of its soft petals reflect the purity of bearing one’s child. Aspiring towards the golden sun, the lotus finally blossoms into an exquisite flower, reflecting the joy of motherhood – the zenith of a woman’s existence.
